A friend of mine has asked about wolves as they apply to Celtic myth. Specifically as to whether they are related to the Goddess Arianrhod. The question I have is whether this person could simply have a wolf as a spiritual guide, and not whether Arianrhod actually has any connection to wolves, as as far as I know, she does not.

I'm really not sure that Arianrhod has any associations with Wolves either, not according anything I have read anyway, so if you find something on that I hope you'll share. I think the wolf can certainly be a guide for someone how ever. On the Wolf in mythology, I think that is something I may have to post an article on.

I'd love if you found the time to write up an article. I'm the friend Cathal had mentioned. I know it's the owl which is related with Arianrhod in the literature, but as I told him I can't seem to help the spiritual connection I feel towards wolves more than any other animal and do wish to learn more of the wolf and it's relation it might have to Celtic beliefs.
